Demonstrating a journalistic shift overnight.
On January 1, a new espionage act came to effect in Sweden. An amendment to the constitution that criminalises whistelblowers, leading to self censorship and the Swedish people missing out on crucial information. A clear threat to free speech as we know it today.
To shine a light on this alarming event, we created a campaign that self censored itself on the day the amendment went into effect. Reporters Without Borders and Åkestam Holst collaborated with Sweden's largest daily newspaper to create a full-page ad that demonstrated how objective journalism is literally fading away.
